Make a Voluntary Real Estate Transfer Fee contribution:

Although Oregon does not have a real estate transfer fee, some community members are choosing to make a ‘voluntary real estate transfer fee’ contribution to housing organizations that are making a difference for working families, seniors and people with disabilities. Get involved in advocacy for the real estate transfer fee:

Housing and poverty advocates are mobilized and active in local coalitions in the Portland Metro area and Jackson County, and with the statewide Housing Alliance.  Whether you are interested in joining an advocacy committee, joining an Action Alert email list, or just staying informed, there is a role for you.

Contact your state Representative and Senator:

The Oregon Legislature is in recess until January, 2007.  It is important that your Representative and Senator hear from you during this interim. Ask them to support a real estate transfer for housing in 2007.
